I work for a small company called Hirst Magnetic Instruments Ltd as a electronic and magnetic design engineer. This involves all aspects of electronic design, high voltage design (up to 5000V), high current design (20,000 Amps are not uncommon) as well as imbedded firmware, assembler and some PLC work. Other aspects include labview applications for data acquisition projects and work in C/C++ mostly based on windows applications but some general purpose libraries as well. I also get lumbered with the operation of the company network and server system due to my Linux knowledge
Below is some of the equipment i have been involed with the design, manufacture and testing of.
